Protagonist. He met a high school aged Hinako while he was in elementary school and fell in love with her after she helped him stand up to his bullies. 

Despite being close friends when they were young, after he witnessed Hinako making out with her boyfriend he stopped hanging out with her and eventually they grew apart.

Now in college, he moves into a new apartment and is surprised to learn that Hinako is his next door neighbor.
