Tanya's best friend.

Although an expert authority of different magics throughout the world, she is somehow unable to wield magic herself. 

Because of this, she takes on the role of ****ysing the information obtained by Lille and Tanya during their explorations. 

Usually calm and expressionless, she rarely talks about herself.

 Tanya writes a letter to Mimi requesting her expertise to resolve the Cain village problems and Mimi travels to the village in response but gets lost along the way. As she is about to be attacked by an orc, Lille saves her and brings her to the village. She prefers to reside in the inn's basement as it has sufficient space for her alchemical tools and equipment unlike a regular room.

It is eventually revealed Mimi is the last survivor of the witches who were responsible for amassing the knowledge encompassing millennia, now referred to in rumours as the "Witches' legacy". Mimi's mother was the cruellest and most talented of her clan and raised Mimi to be a worthy Witch, however she began to have doubts over her role after carrying out an assassination on behalf of the clan and realising her mother cared little for her.

When Mimi resolved to leave the Witches' clan to travel the world as a human, her mother cast a curse on her which permanently robbed her of mana, and with it her ability to cast magic. Years after her exile, Mimi realised witches did not age like normal humans did and she was shunned and mistrusted, eventually persecuted when humans discovered her true identity and sought to kill her.

When Mimi chose to end her life after tiring of wandering the earth as a hunted ex-witch, she was saved by Tanya who encountered her by chance after she'd stabbed herself with a poisoned dagger. Mimi's name was given to her by Tanya as she had forgotten her own after years of wandering, Tanya chose it as Mimi's characteristic hood made her look like she had cat ears.

When Mimi resolves to open the portal to her homeland, she asks Lille and Tanya alone as word of her identity would have forced her to run from the village. Fortunately for her both of them accept her for who she is, something she is eternally grateful for.
