 During the final part of the stories, she betrayed Gendo and return to Lilith along with the first angel Adam that she absorbed into her body to become GNR (Giant Naked Rei) that caused every people's body to melt back as LCL and their return their souls as Collective Unconcious (Human Instrumentality Project). However, this moment later stopped due to Shinji's rejection of Instrumentality and Lilith-Adam fusion stopped by unit-01. /
