A pitiful girl made the target of bullying because of unfortunate circumstances at home. She tried to stay strong after her mother's death, but it was difficult for her at that age. She has a complex because she's taller than most boys, and cute clothes don't suit her. 


When Reiko becomes the new target of the bullying, Yukari was at first, both glad and guilty. She never took part in the bullying, despite Reiko's suggestion that it would Yukari "fit in better". Feeling more confident since she became friends with Reiko, Yukari suggests that they join forces and stand up to the bullies together. 

However, Marie appears and reveals Reiko's true form - Sumire of the Twilight. Sumire leaves Yukari's class, which caused Yukari to get bullied again. However, the bullying escalated much further and faster than before. Shortly afterwards on a whim, Higanbana thwarts Sumire's plans by causing a bus crash which killed all of the bullies.

These days, she still hates bullying, and when boys go beyond playful pranks, she often snaps at them. Perhaps believing that kind of personality is cool, her popularity is rising among the girls.

She bears a small resemblance to Furude Rika from Higurashi no Naku Koro ni and Bernkastel from Umineko no Naku Koro ni. However, she isn't related to any of them beyond the resemblance.
