Naho's best friend who is a member of the Love Committee. She has nothing against men, but joined the Love Committee in order to stop Naho's outbursts. She works as a miko in her family's shrine with her younger sister Mine. Aside from being a serious and a stubborn girl, Akane has no experience with men and becomes very nervous when she's left alone with one.
