In truth he is the combination of Ren's best friend and his partner in Dies Irae, Shirou Yusa and Honjou Erii, after the death of Marie, Mercurius and Reinhard Heydrich, he along with other survived members of Marie universe joined in the group formed by Ren in order to protect what's left of her world. However, he secretly works with Mikado Ryuumei in order to find a way to overthrow Hajun./
