The protagonist of the story.  The son of a Shinso/First vampire father and a human miko mother named Yukari.  At the beginning of the story, he is confronted by a vampire maid named Elceranto D Annoyance, who informs him that he has the right of succession to the Brandole Family of vampires and that she was sent to assess his ability.  A highly intelligent young man with a strong understanding of people born of his own life experiences and mistakes, he worries a great deal about what his progressing transformation will do to him and those around him.  While he is extremely kind and loving to those he accepts as 'family', he is capable of being coldly merciless with those who seek to harm them and even somewhat apathetic to anything that doesn't affect them.  He has a powerful temper that he has kept well-leashed throughout much of his life, though it tends to peek through at odd times during the story.
 During the course of the true path, his vampirism progresses rapidly, as does his relationships with his vampire harem (Belche, Rika, Lian, and Xeno).  It also costs him the honesty of his relationships with his purely human friends, which troubles him only somewhat (he doesn't seem to mind lying).  /
