Teru has an appearance of a fine, handsome man. His academic ability and physical fitness are above the average. While quite popular with the ladies, within a group of guys he acts like a likable buffoon, taking a role of a "manga or anime protagonist's friend."

Teru's true nature is that of a cunning liar and an egoist. He will lie through his teeth and exploit others without remorse in order to achieve a higher standing for himself. In fact, he views this as the clear-cut rule of how this world works, and those unable to do so as despicable fools.
