Being the eldest son of the Yashiro family, Souichirou has been taught how to exorcise Kogori demon since childhood. However, after the events in the mountain with the red child/ he started doubting that he does not have that exorcism power at all. After that, he left Haikyo with regret for a while, but upon hearing that Kogori is coming back to the island, he decided to try again and went back home. 
Basically a kind and polite person, but sometimes a little bit boastful. Has the belief of "what will happen, will happen" and a flexible lifestyle, but when it comes to fulfilling his own strong desire, Souichirou would quietly look for an opportunity to strike, without taking any step forward.
