This game's protagonist. Lost his mother when he was young. His father later on married Misako, who was his swimming instructor. However his father passed away as well, and now he lives alone with Misako. At some point, he quit swimming, but he doesn't want to think about his reason behind it.

Because he's used to calling Misako as "Misako-san", he's still unable to call her "mom". He thought of taking a part time job in order to buy Misako a present to show his gratitude for all she has done for him.
