Lucal is a fifteenth progenitor of the vampires and a member of Third Progenitor Lest Karr's faction. He rules Nagoya along with Nineteenth Progenitor Mel Stefano. 

A foolish, extremely proud, pompous, and temperamental vampire. Although he is proud enough to want to ignore Krul Tepes' orders and he considered her to have an insufferable attitude, he was rational enough to not ignore them to her face.

He values his life but not the lives of anyone else. During a sniping attempt against him, he sacrifices his servant Esther's life to block the attack rather than merely getting out of the way.

He thinks of humans as maggots.
