Eriko Mukai works in the Crime Lab under Kageyuki Shiraishi. She respects Shiraishi's crime-solving abilities, but hates literally everything else about him, and isn't afraid to let him know that.

She's good friends with Kotoho Sakuragawa and they often go out drinking to vent about Shiraishi.
