A childhood friend of Menma and Jinta. During their childhood, Poppo was uncontrollably energetic and friendly and always loyal to Jinta, recognizing him as the leader of the group; this hasn't changed at all even in the present. He admits that he was always grateful to the group for including him as he was an awkward child. Although he has dropped out of school, he is a world traveler who earns money by taking various part-time jobs and lives in their old secret base when not abroad. Poppo seems to have questionable interests: Jinta found several ****ographic magazines upon entering the clubhouse. Poppo also seems to have an obsession for foreign girls, especially Vietnamese girls. Overall, he has a lewd personality.
