Haruta is the protagonist of the game. Having spent his youth with his mother in Indonesia where she worked as an Indonesian-Japanese translator, he re-moved to Japan some time after the death of his mother or he was adopted by the Kamikawa family. At that time, the family was composed of Michinori, his wife, and Saya (Wakana, who had already left the family home very early because she was in conflict and in total disagreement with her father).

During his childhood, he met Miaya, who soon became his closest friend. During this period of his life, his love feelings began to develop towards Saya. Their feelings came into concordance a year and a half ago or they started dating.

However, seeing their relationship change, Michinori had summoned Haruta and emancipated him, giving him the name of his mother and confessing a harsh truth to him: that he was his biological son and that Saya and he were brother and sister. He then kicked him out and Haruta started living alone in a small apartment near his high school. But that did not mean the beginning of a life of loneliness, because Miaya lives in an apartment near Haruta to take care of him, herself.
