Roommate and best friend of the protagonist.
Though pretty blunt with his criticism, he actually cares a lot about the protagonist.

He's also the sole reason why the protagonist ever goes to school, since Yuki always wakes him up by force with his "Fly"-spell (i.e. he levitates him out of bed and drops him on the ground).

While there is the option to do the pair magic research with his friend (i.e. the protagonist), he bluntly refuses as he wants the both of them to get closer to the girls within the academy through the group project.

Actually is envious of the protagonist since he is good friends with three beautiful female students already, 
but appalled by the lack of resolve the protagonist shows for developing his relationships with them into something more intimate.
