Shiori is Kyouya's senpai at the market and a student in a university where she is learning to become a mathematics teacher. She is very kind to her kouhai, taking the time to explain her work to him, using him as a guinea pig the day she finds herself in front of a class to explain to her students. Shiori is not very connected with network games and she asks Kyouya to explain the interest. He replied that they allow him to forge links with people with whom he shares a common passion. Shiori then thinks it would be bad for her to make open friendships with young people who might soon enough become her students and she decides to start playing CUFFS Story's secretly and anonymously.
