The main character - an ordinary student, hurrying to home planet after the third year of study. University left behind, and two months vacation, full of idleness and pleasure are inevitable coming.

During the flight, Spaceliner stops briefly at the station "Omega" - the tourist metropolis hanging at the intersection of star trails. Having a walk "for half an hour", the main character gets into trouble and nearly dies of asphyxia. As a result of the accident, he is leaved on the station for medical treatment. His vacation go awry, but ... maybe it's for the better?
